The new hubs add twelve ultra-rapid chargers to the Fastned network. While this is a major milestone for the UK’s top rated en-route charging network, as voted by ZapMap drivers for a second year in a row, it also helps boost the UK’s ultra-rapid charging infrastructure to meet the needs of EV drivers in 2024. Specifically, EV drivers from Southwest and South England will welcome the new Fastned stations when travelling towards London.

A market leader in the Netherlands and throughout Europe, Fastned now operates 300 ultra-rapid charging stations with a total of more than 1,700 chargers across seven countries.

Many of the Fastned stations feature its famous, highly visible solar canopies that help EV drivers to easily locate the site and stay dry while charging. Reliable and easy-to-use ultra-rapid chargers, which deliver up to 300 miles of range in 20 minutes, mean drivers can charge easily with confidence and get back on the road as quickly as possible.

“Reaching this UK milestone is a proud achievement for Fastned,” said Tom Hurst, Fastned UK country manager. “With grid connections and planning processes at times slow, we’ve not always been able to move at the speed we’d want. But we’ve high hopes for 2024 as demand for EV charging grows and the country gets on board with the EV transition.”
