The calendar of events announced by the company is designed to allow as many businesses as possible across the country to explore the electrification of their LCV fleets.

Proving highly popular with hundreds of fleet attendees in 2023, the roadshows have resulted in nearly 60 businesses beginning the process of fleet electrification over the last 12 months with an 84% year-on-year increase in eLCVs on Northgate’s fleet as a result.

Echoing Northgate’s expanding fleet of EVs, which now includes electric refrigerated vehicles and traffic management and support vehicles, the roadshows allow attendees to test a wide range of mobility solutions. These range from e-Cargo bikes to popular eLCVs including the Peugeot e-Expert, Maxus and Mercedes e-Vito.

Each session also includes an EV charging masterclass from ChargedEV as fleets confirm charging infrastructure as the biggest challenge for drivers when they are travelling on work journeys.

The roadshows also gives attendees the chance to discover best practice around on-site commercial charging and gain an understanding of the options available to them as part of Northgate’s ‘vehicle and charger rental bundle’.

“Following the huge success of our EV roadshow events in 2023, we have expanded our programme of roadshows across the country in 2024,” said Melanie Creedy, Northgate’s EV business development manager. “The EV Roadshows have proven themselves to be an invaluable part of Northgate’s Drive to Zero programme that enable us to share independent help and support to customers looking to start their journeys from diesel to electric.”
