Unibuss operates 259 electric buses across 51 routes, transporting 70 million people annually and Siemens will deliver its Depot360 Managed Services solution, marking the company’s expansion in Norway.

Depot360 addresses challenges faced by electric bus operators, particularly in harsh winter conditions. It ensures efficient energy delivery without overloading the grid, while enabling remote monitoring of bus charging. Siemens’ solution is part of the Siemens Xcelerator platform, designed to accelerate digital transformation at scale.

With Depot360, Unibuss aims to enhance efficiency by improving charging management, reducing energy costs, and increasing route completion rates. This supports their sustainability goals and reduces the carbon footprint of public transport.

Siemens' 24/7 Network Operations Centre (NOC) leverages fleet-centric algorithms to monitor and manage charging infrastructure, proactively resolving issues through data-driven decisions. Features like load shifting and peak shaving will further reduce energy costs for Unibuss.

According to Ian White, head of emerging transportation platforms at Siemens, Depot360 will improve the reliability and transparency of Unibuss’ operations, even in challenging environments.
